American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES)
The University of Texas chapter of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) is the first and only professional student organization for environmental engineers on campus. AAEES provides an opportunity for environmental engineering majors to gain exposure to professionals in the field, learn about both technical innovation and practice and serve the community.

Since 1921, the ASCE student chapter has provided an opportunity for civil and architectural engineering students to build academic, social and professional relationships through a wide range of activities, including bi-monthly meetings, social events, community volunteering, intramural sports, field trips and technical competitions.

The American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Student Engineering Council helps provide a vital and necessary bond between the students of the Cockrell School of Engineering, its administration and the professional world.
