Careers
Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineers are recruited and hired by top engineering companies from around the world. The department hosts an Industry Open House each year which gives students the opportunity to learn about the many career paths within the fields of civil, architectural and environmental engineering. Practicing engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds are invited to share information about careers in industry, consulting, construction, research, government, education and more.
Internships
Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering students are strongly encouraged to seek out internships. Students can gain significant technical experience in industry before graduation through internships. Students can also earn a salary, enhance their engineering education, explore career interests, network with employers and become familiar with the corporate work environment. Students who have industry experience on their resumes often have a competitive advantage when searching for permanent employment after graduation.
