The American Institute of Steel Construction has awarded Dr. Michael Engelhardt the Geerhard Haaijer Award for Excellence in Education.
Dr. Engelhardt, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research with The University of Texas System and Civil Engineering Professor, focuses his reasearch on structural engineering and steel and composite bridge seismic responses. Per the AISC website, Engelhardt received the award for "his profound impact on the structural steel design and construction industries."
