Peter Deming, a geotechnical engineer, joined Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers (MRCE) in 1979. He served as manager of the MRCE Soil Mechanics Laboratory from 1979 to 1986, was named an associate in 1988, and joined the partnership in 1998.

As a partner, Deming actively participates in the technical aspects of projects and provides client contact for efficient and economical allocation of engineering resources. He oversees the planning and coordination of field investigations, geotechnical and structural analysis, cost estimates, designs, preparation of reports, contract drawings, specifications and construction inspection.

Deming has expertise in all aspects of soil mechanics and has broad experience throughout the United States. He has designed several complex waste containment structures at processing and manufacturing plants located on waterfront and inland sites. He has developed a specialty in the design and construction quality control of hydraulic barriers for groundwater control. Deming has investigated construction problems, structural performance and damage, changed conditions, etc., and provided remedial designs and expert services for a wide range of geotechnical projects.
