Mr. Scot Sanders, P.E., C.E.M., serves as Chief Operations Officer for The Broaddus Companies, where he leads all operations and execution, advocating for owners to improve the building process. Broaddus & Associates, a service-disabled veteran-owned business, focuses on enhancing the capital design and construction process for facility owners. Since becoming COO, Mr. Sanders has spearheaded a significant expansion of the company’s professional program and project management services, increasing the firm's managed project value to $16 billion in just four years. Under his leadership, Broaddus & Associates' portfolio has grown to include five major healthcare programs, each exceeding $700 million.
Prior to his role at Broaddus & Associates, Mr. Sanders served over 22 years in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, ascending to Commanding Officer of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) FIVE and Director of Operations for Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii. His distinguished military career includes leading units on six combat deployments, notably in Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His commendable service earned him numerous decorations, including the Bronze Star (2 awards), Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), and a Presidential Unit Citation. Following his Navy career, Mr. Sanders joined Jacobs Engineering as Principal of Federal Programs and Director of Operations for North Texas and surrounding states.
Mr. Sanders holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas. He is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Business Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University. A registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Certified Energy Manager, and Certified Acquisition Professional/Contracting Officer, he remains actively involved in several professional and community organizations. A native of Elgin, Oklahoma, he resides in Heath, Texas, with his wife, Annalynn Sanders, and their three daughters, Joelle, Micah-Cate, and Audrey.
