Pontifica Universidade Católica
do Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro PUC is located in Rio de Janeiro, a cosmopolitan city that still preserves much of its historical legacy. Rio is a former nation’s capital, but still is one the main cultural and tourist attractions of Brazil. Over 6 million cariocas as the inhabitants of Rio are called live in the city. They are friendly and cheerful and are blessed with beautiful natural scenery, set between the sea and mountains, that make Rio one of the most wonderful cities in the world. Outstanding highlights of Rio include the white sandy beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, the spectacular Corcovado Mountain, the Sugar Loaf, the largest football (soccer) stadium in the world, and the famous Carnaval (Mardi Gras) in February.
