Here is an example coverage of groundwater elevation measurements that was created using a query from Access and displayed in ArcView. The coverage contains the location identifier, coordinates, the date of the measurement, whether or not any free product, or lnapl, was present, and the groundwater elevation. This is where the power of GIS comes in. You can just click on a point and obtain the desired information. You can also use built-in ArcView functions to create, for example, an interpolated surface of groundwater elevations.
