Prior and Posterior Grids Using Bayesian Approach: Prior and posterior grids of the probability that the benzene soil concentrations in each area will be below a 50 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) target level. The facility was divided into 127 unique areas based on historical and current operations. The prior grid value is based on historical information about the operations and possible releases in each area. The updated grid value includes the prior information along with the available soil sampling data for the area.
