The pressure inside of the closed tank can be changed from a minimum of -80 kPa to a maximum of 80 kPa. The Applet will ignore pressures outside of this range. To change the pressure, type the new pressure in the text field and press "enter" on your keyboard. Notice that the pressure gauge displays the change. Predict which way the mercury will move in the manometer and by how much, then click on the red valve to see the results .
