Institute of Transportation Engineers - Theodore M. Matson Memorial Award

Dr. Chandra Bhat was selected to receive one of ITE's top honors, the Theodore M. Matson Memorial Award. The award was established in 1957 to honor the legacy of Theodore M. Matson, who contributed greatly to the common welfare through advancement of the techniques of traffic engineering and through training of those in the profession. The award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the practice and advancement of traffic engineering.
