Bio
Andrew Fix is an assistant professor in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering (with a courtesy appointment in mechanical engineering). More specifically, he is a faculty member of the Building Energy and Environments (BEE) faculty group.
Before joining UT, Fix was a postdoctoral faculty member of the Center for Environmental Energy Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, working under the guidance of Prof. Yunho Hwang and Prof. Rainhard Radermacher. He was a 2023 Dean’s Teaching Fellow at Purdue and taught undergraduate thermodynamics. He was previously supported by the Department of Energy IBUILD Fellowship and the Laura Winkelman-Davidson Fellowship.
