Want to gain experience working on real, CAEE-relevant problems and build technical coding skills? Participate in this semester’s CAEE Hackathon!

Through participating in this weekend-long event, you’ll:

  • Gain experience working on real, CAEE-relevant problems
  • Build practical tools for coding, data analysis and visualization
  • Collaborate with undergraduate and graduate students
  • Receive mentorship from faculty and graduate students
  • Earn a certificate to include on your résumé
  • Compete for prizes and CAEE swag
  • Enjoy free food, snacks and a relaxed, supportive environment

All CAEE students are invited to participate in this event. No prior coding/hackathon experience is required. Basic familiarity with Python is helpful, but the event will begin with a short Python mini-workshop to help everyone get started.

The winning team will win $150, and the second-place team will receive $75.

Event Schedule

  • Friday, April 17, 5 PM – 6:30 PM: Kickoff Meeting
  • Saturday, April 18, 9 AM – 5 PM: Coding, fun and free pizza!
  • Sunday, April 19, 9 AM – 11:30 AM: Final presentations & prizes!
