About

Howard Liljestrand is a professor emeritus in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining UT Austin in 1980, He received his B.S. in environmental science and engineering from Rice University and his Ph.D. in environmental engineering science from the California Institute of Technology.

His research interests include aquatic chemistry, contaminant transport, pollutant containment and remediation, acid deposition and air pollution modeling.
