Thomas Taylor Design Studio
Thanks to the generous contribution from our corporate sponsor, Thomas W. Taylor, this state-of-the-art computing facility was formed in the Fall of 2021.
About the Space
The Thomas Taylor Design Studio consists of 38 high-end CAD stations and multiple printers. This lab is only available to students in the following courses:
- ARE 217 Computer-Aided Design and Graphics
- ARE 320K Introduction to Design I
- ARE 320L Introduction to Design II
- ARE 465 Integrated Design Project
- ARE 376 Building Information Modeling Capital Projects

More information for weekend and overnight lab access is available for current CAEE students and student staff. A UT ID card will be required to access this space outside of normal open hours.

The Thomas Taylor Design Studio is an open-access space; therefore, it cannot be reserved.
