Community service is an integral part of the transportation engineering program. Our volunteers contribute to a cause while educating others about the importance of transportation in everyday life. Each year, students volunteer in activities through the University and Austin community.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

A traditional event during Engineers Week at the University of Texas at Austin, students volunteer to teach girls in grades first through eighth about the value of transportation engineering. Activities include traffic operations simulations, signal timing games, and discussions about safe driving practices.
