
Zhanmin Zhang has received the 2012 James Laurie Prize from the Transportation and Development Institute within the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The James Laurie Prize recognizes contributions to the advancement of transportation engineering in research, planning, design, or construction.
Dr. Zhang was recognized "for his contributions to the advancement of knowledge and understanding of the management of highway infrastructure systems and, in particular, his development of a state-of-the-art pavement condition performance prediction process and pavement needs estimates for different pavement condition goals."
Dr. Zhang will receive the award next month in San Diego.
