Greg Fenves Receives 2009 J. James R. Croes Medal from ASCE

Gregory L. Fenves, Dean of the Cockrell School of Engineering and Professor in structural engineering, has been chosen by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to receive the 2009 J. James R. Croes Medal for his paper “Software Patterns for Nonlinear Beam-Column Models.”  Fenves is sharing the award with co-authors Michael Scott, Frank McKenna, and Filip Filippou. 

The award was established by ASCE in 1912 to honor the first recipient of the Norman Medal, John James Robertson Croes. It is the second-highest award given by ASCE for papers that make a definitive contribution to engineering science.
